but keep in mind that fat studded tires are not always the way to go, personally i found that in snowy rides, thin cyclocross tires fucking rule.. I have never felt more stable than on my schwalbe cx pro 30cc (they cut through snow way better, while fatter tires tend to "float" on it)
also, it's better when you have an agressive position on the bike, it gives you a better front traction, which is the most important in winter imho
