If you're a competent mechanic then you should be able to setup flawless rear indexing on almost any system.
Friction shifting on expensive bikes or with expensive new genevale or dia compe or paul or whatever really pisses me off. People pretend it's a solution to some compatibility problem, but actually it's only because they insisted on running some ridiculous meme drivetrain which they don't need and then cucking it out the back end. Many of those people even think they're solving some kind of reliability problem and actually they're just a strange combination or wrenchlet and consoomer.
