Less than a year ago the city built a little path down an embankment so you could jump between the MUP on either side of a creek by going over a road bridge. They built it out to smooth out the grade. Pretty handy and I used it dozens of time up until the spring.
Tonight after dark I went to use it again for the first time in months. Up one side, over the bridge, quick 90 degree left onto .. hey something doesn't look ri .. HOLY SHIT THIS ISN'T ASPHALT! THE PATH IS GONE! EMBANKMENT RESTORE TO OLD STEEP GRADE!
After some squirrelyness riding down hill through deep powdery top soil on slicks I reach the bottom and noticed they removed the old path and built a new one that meets the road 25 feet over.
The funny thing is that they probably did it because of a complaint I made last year about the curb lane vanishing just before the bridge with not even a curb ramp to get onto the path over the bridge. So they added a curb ramp further back from the bridge before the lane ends and also moved the path at the same time.
