Unrelated fun fact, Ferrol is the western terminus of Spain's gianormous narrow gauge network in the north, which is over 1000 km long, probably the largest narrow gauge network in the world that isn't the main railway system. It's mostly run by Feve (now part of Renfe, the state operator), though some lines have been transferred to Euskotren, the basque govt operator. Disregarding different operators, the narrow gauge lines reach From Ferrol in the very west all the way to french border at Hendaye.
No single train traveles the whole length, not even the Feve part. The full length would take a staggering 17.5 hours.
>Ferrol to Oviedol 7h
>Oviedo to Santander 4h
>Santander to Bilbao 3h
>Bilbao to San Sebastián 2.5h (Euskotren)
>San Sebastián to Hendaye 1h)(Euskotren)
Pic related isn't one train but three two-car units. There's also single railcars. From Ferrol theres a suburban service to Xubia, and four daily regionals to Ribadeo, two of which go on to Oviedo.
