Finally settled on a trackplan I like, ran out of usable track in the free version of SCARM even when using Kato double track (I'll be using single track primarily though since I'm modeling the 50s and I dislike the look of the double's concrete sleepers) so I just split it into two layout files and overlaid them in Paint. General idea is it's a combined Passenger station/freight depot/engine maintenance facilities, based off a scaled-down version of a similar northeastern design (Bonus points if you recognize the prototype) with a bit of town to the left. The siding at the bottom of the layout is just a placeholder, there might be some sort of industry there but its undecided at this point.
The layout's planned to operate in T-Trak module standards so the table itself would only go up to the straight portions right before the half-circle loop on the right side. That way I could either leave it as a loop using two corner modules, expand the loop as much as I like with other straight modules in between, or have it branch off in other directions with junction modules. The route going northwest will also be T-Trak compatible as that corner of the layout will be cut at an angle instead of being a 90 degree corner.
