>>1641040Squirrels are weird. They will go one way when they hear you coming but then at the last second they will go in the opposite direction. I ran over one a few days ago because I thought he was clear but he went back into the trail and I hit him at speed on a downhill section. I could hear his tiny bones crunching. Feels bad man. Cleared him off the trail. he was warm and limp with blood coming out of his mouth and nose. I feel terrible but I know it's not my fault. They are way too prevalent where I live due to people feeding them and not being managed. Also, that weird action where they move one way then quickly reverse. I don't understand the evolutionary purpose of this. I've noticed that practically all of them do it.
