I mean, who knows today that you can restore a high end 10spd and sqeeze more gearing out if it by using a Suguno or Regina narrow 6 or 7-spd freewheel paired with a Shimano Dura Ace 8-spd chain, along with swapping the cup spacers on the rear hub and redish the wheel? Fucking no body.
They guy wasn't in The Tour and he didn't have the build to do so. His thing was always touring whether it be on that crazy 72 spd bike he made, a recumbent or the faggoty trike in OP's pic. Sheldon REALLY liked bikes and everything about them and wanted to share it with anyone who wanted to visit his website. Best of all, his knowledge about bikes was/is very useful and easy to follow.
