My brakes were getting very slack and I could press the brakes all the way down without them even stopping me much, so I tried following a wikihow guide and loosened a nut on the brakes so that I could pull the wire a bit tighter and redid the nut. That seemed to more or less do the trick and the brakes worked again but over time after about a month or two they went slack again so I did it again from memory.
Seemed to be fine for a few weeks, but now they instantly want to pull over to the left (pic related) and the right side of the brakes jam on hard when they do so. Pulling them back into position only works for 6 inches before the back brakes quickly move back to the left and I'm stuck again.
What am I fucking up here and how do I fix it?
