>>1829480The town I grew up finally got funding to finish the study for a rapid transit project intended on connecting the county to the Metro. It's been about a decade but the project finally has political support to move to the next stage of the process. Ideally, this project would eventually get extended and connect with the Purple Line, so all the Maryland Beltway jurisdictions and Southern Maryland are connected by rail. This won't be built for years but it's at least moving forward after being stagnant for so long.
