It has many nicknames for its traction system, but the most common one is "Taurus" which was the name which a number of frieght operators gave to their versions of the locomotive. The locomotive is actually called the Eurosprinter by Siemens and has been in service with the ÖBB for many years. DB Railion and DB Regio ordered a number of those locomotives though since they have excellent performance from moving off from a stopped position.
