when i started out i had these plastic flowers instead of the rat. i thought i'd have to put something on it to make me look more approachable, because apart from that there was this black bike with black bags and skulls for valve caps.
one thing i noticed on the first day was: as a cyclist commuter in the city, you are either ignored or even met with aggression. but when you look like you're on a big tour with all that stuff, random people smile at you and even greet you in the street, it's kind of nice.
