>>969042In my town we have pic related, it's a wide boulevard with a "side"walk in the middle of two tram lanes inbetween 2 car lanes and with parking lane and side walk on each sides of the street. The middle sidewalk is for pedestrian and cyclist (as the sign shows), and the tram stations are on the middle sidewalk.
Allong the boulevard there is a lot of university and highschool buildings so there is a lot of people taking the tram and bycicles. I can assure you that this is unpleasant for cyclist and pedestrians. There is a tram stop every 250m so in the rush hour i ride my bike on the cage lane. The cage lane is pretty narrow and the city bike friendly so cars won't try to overtake, which makes the car lane pretty confortable.
