>>1357649>Maybe it is that brown reminds people of leather and so it's better on classic bikes, and looks out of place on more modern ones. Not anything inherently about colors but more generally. >I have a brown saddle and tape because I, like many others, like the way they look on a steel frame.>Leather does look out of place on modern bikes I think that's basically a consensus. Iunno why you couldn't phrase that or recognise it as one.
So now my point that your bike isn't quite classic enough to pull it off is an opinion but the logic around it is something you're atleast somewhat onboard with.
>They're more rare than not, especially on bikes older than the 90'sSure but also not really, pre 80s maybe, and especially with modern rebuilds of classic bikes they are very common, certainly not something to put people off. So they would not be inherently out of place on your bike. And I do think a black post and stem would make your brown look worse. Whether that's because black isn't 'classic' or because it's black seems hardly to matter. It would clash, no?
I hope you enjoy all this autistic bickering anon lol
because i certainly do
and no i don't make a habit of sperging about stamped dropouts but i probably wouldn't go to the effort and cost of a ground up build with modern parts on a low tier steel frame
