>>1168560>Used bikes at stores usually aren't given a tune up.Depends where you go but buying from a local shop as a newbie without prior bike knowledge is a much better experience than going to craigslist and getting a stolen bike, cracked frame, or overvalued vintage hipster bike. Look at pic related, that's a used bike shop a few miles from me that only stocks bikes they refurbished. They stock all kinds of bikes from BSO to high end but they're all reasonably priced, tuned, and ready to ride with a few too low to believe. If any issues come up, they're more than willing to sort things out if you buy from them and teach simple tasks like flat repair. At the very least, if any issues come up, you can always go back to the place you got the bike from. You can't do that on craigslist.
