Just did my first tour with the new (old) mountainbike I talked about here
>>1770358Runs good enough, had no issues, but the brakes had a lot of play so I got some new brake pads and put them on. I also greased the chain and the drivetrain like you guys said.
Guy at the bike store said that the drive train and chain are older and will have to be replaced, but if I replace the chain I will need to replace the entire drive train as well which will be difficult to source parts for since these are the original parts from the 90s. If I understand this right I can just buy any other drivetrain and just put it on there? Of course with new chain and stuff
