>>1113049The new TTC streetcars seem pretty close to LRTs which are the trend in a lot of places. Streetcars are a lot easier to fit into narrower roads and some of them are almost as long as an LRT. USA is getting old, some cities populations have overgrown what they were planned for decades ago and streetcars are an improvement.
The names seem interchangeable at some points. They both run at street level and can flex more than a conventional train and they are electric.
Jerusalems "Light Rail" things only seem a little bit bigger than a new TTC "streetcar" and they have a similar interior layout.
