Graniteville train crash. Train parked on siding, switch not reset to mainline. Next train through turns onto the siding and impacts parked train. Second train was carrying chlorine, derailment ruptured the tank car. There were 9 deaths. There is a particular video out there that I've never been able to find online. I used to be a firefighter and hazmat tech, at one training conference we were shown a video that was made by the local fire dept. There's a shot of 2 guys in suits (inappropriate level for the chemical involved) approaching the chlorine tanker as it belches thick, yellowish-green smoke. It's one of those images that's stayed with me, mostly because trains full of bad shit run through people's backyards all the time and most fire dept's are horribly unprepared to respond to such an event.
