The parts of the line from manchester to glossop/hadfield are still open to passengers and were converted to 25kv. There were plans to route the M67 along the trackbed and through the tunnel, but they never finished it, instead the motorway just stops dead and everything funnels into a single carriageway country road, which works out exactly as well as you'd expect.
