>>1635591I signed on to the boat I’m currently on back in September of last year, did about three months straight before we pulled into a port that was about an hour from my house in Florida and I went home for three weeks, then went back for a six week hitch before we pulled back into Florida for two weeks where I went home again. We got underway again and came here to San Diego. I don’t crewchange for like two more weeks, but I’m taking like three months off this time home.
Overall I haven’t gone crazy because this ship has a great crew and the science groups that came onboard for the three trips we made were all pretty good.
I have been on boats in the past though where I’ve absolutely wanted to kill myself like three weeks in. Largely depends on the work and the crew imo
