>>1457240not going to happen anytime soon except for small parking lot sized sandboxes.. liability is too great and the tech makes mistakes with stuff like children and black people
>>1457238>I think in the future most Uber/Lyft cars will be electric so the driver doesn’t have to pay for gas.it will be used for promotional purposes and some bigger corps will try it out with limited portions of their fleets (before dumping it) but answer me this:
would you feel comfortable, as a small business owners, operating vehicles that could have bad batters (like when you have a phone battery that sucks,) have a necessary 2-6 hours of downtime per day, and are unable to adapt to potential extraneous circumstances (a few cars go down so you need to use your others cars longer?)
i guarantee you that no private contractor delivery drivers (uber, amazon flex, etc) would ever in a million years trust paying their bills on batteries that may or may not live up to the manufacturers' claims and require charge times that could make you seen as unreliable to your customers
imagine this.. you delivery shit to a customer regulatory but he calls you and then you say to him
>sorry customer i have to wait for my vehicle to charge so there will be a 2 hour delay NOPE.jpg
