>>1263714Not only that but BART would have also absorbed SP's peninsula line and their Danville branch (and probably the Leigh quarry line too) essentially creating an all-in-one Bay Area Rapid Transit network. They would have gotten a second bay crossing with it too, in the form of the Dumbarton Bridge which probably wouldn't have burnt down like it did in real life. Though it is good that they at least admitted failure with eBART, once Valley Link (pic rel) starts up in 2024. At that point, it'll be easy for VL to get the Mococo Line and the Iron Horse Regional Trail effectively rebuilding the old interurban lines. Granted it'll take until 2035 to get there, but at least we're working towards it.
