>>1911689>>1911697Thanks for the answers. I have a older alu roadie, exposed cables crossing ahead of the bars and all, that barely fits 25s, currently using 23mm vittoria zaffiro pro. Not sure how these fare against the competition in regards to rain use, but I didn't like the feeling of pulling the brakes and the bike just dicing along when riding through traffic.
Wider tyres will be good for the added comfort and peace of mind on the occasional curb jump, but I want to know mainly if the overall upgrade to a modern alu bike (less weight, enduro geometry, hydro disk brakes, no cables crossing in front of the bars, wider wheels, wider gear range) are enough to justify the expense. I bought my old roadie for dirt cheap, so this feels a bit too much, even though it's "cheap" for new bike standards.
Pic related, the bike I'm currently looking at, will replace the tyres for something more road oriented like the slick panaracers.
