>>1744341So about two years I bought an old Kent for a $100 dollar bucks, mainly because it had a set of Spin carbon mags. It also had a Manitou Answer 2 (I though it was 2 but it could be a 4 like pic related). Anyways the thing was leaking oil and would bottom out if any weight was put on it. I removed it and put it in a plastic tub in storage.
Anyways I just got a nice Conejo AP/5 frame that would look sick with the Answer (the anodized teal and raw aluminum match).
So I started looking at fork rebuild kits, and it looks like the Answer doesn’t use oil, it’s all elastomer springs.
What are the odds that who ever had it, jerry rigged it? Maybe the elastomers were too soft so they dumped fork oil in it? I’ve googled some, but I guess I should dig it out of storage and take a look
