as far as tugs go, Moran has tractors in Miami, they *may* be hiring, according to a buddy it's a really good gig down there. Kirby runs a few tugs who manage the bunker barges, P&L Towing works the Miami River as well as at least one other company whose name I do not know.
Lauderdale has Seabulk towing and McAllister that run tractors, and Kirby who again runs bunker barges. Seabulk may also be hiring, they supposedly don't update their website often with job postings.
Palm Beach isn't hiring
Ft. Pierce has two companies, Beyel Bros, and McCulley Marine. Both companies run barges and other offshore stuff
there's plenty of other companies in Florida that I didn't list as well
tl;dr, get your paperwork then spam your resume everywhere
once you're in the industry you'll eventually learn a lot more and figure out what you like/what kind of tonnage or department you eventually want to work in.
