Holy shit guys. I went to the skate park for the second time and learned how to drop in on not-quite-bowl-like-but-still-pretty-steep curves. I had to just go for it the first time, but by the end of the session it was like second nature. This shit is so fun!

As far as stopping goes, I just went straight to learning how to drag stop (AKA T or L stop). To do so, though, you should be comfortable skating on one foot for a good distance.
Also, make sure you tie the laces tight enough so that your heel cannot go up and down inside the skate. A bit of movement at the top cuff, by your shin, may be OK, though.
