I'm back
>>1399305So far I've done a couple of things:
>removed rear wheel>removed rear cog with the normal socket I had for my mountain bike>removed the bolt from the drive side crank>ordered a crank puller>managed to pull the crank, despite the press having nothing to press against. I had to throw some 1/4" socket extensions in there for something to press againstNow I'm fighting with the drive cog. Should I just throw a pipe wrench on it? There's some obviously damaged teeth and I can't get it off with my whip. It doesn't help that the crank arm is tapered so I can't hold it in my vice easily.
I found that it's probably right-hand threaded (1.370" X 24tpi), but I still can't get the damn thing loose.
Any protips for removing this dumb thing?
The rear sprocket looks great, likewise the chain. I'll probably replace both sprockets, plus the chain, but that depends on my budget once I get everything apart.
