so I'm tired of my bikepacking style seatbag, it fucking sucks to pack and I'm not really going on roads/trails that demand it
so now I'm thinking of switching to a classic style saddlebag like the carradice or swift industries zeitgeist.
I want it to rest on a rack but can't strap it to the saddle rails since the distance is too big (daddy long legs). how shit would it be to strap it onto the rack without any "back" support? would it flop around like crazy? I'm also considering making my own (actually probably will) but I'm really sceptical if it's a reasonable idea at all

is strapping a classic saddlebag onto a rear rack without also strapping it onto the saddle rails a bad idea?
