>>1456604>See Yang's proposal for "Democracy Dollars,"Instead of answering my question you just parrot some naive hand wavy bureaucratic solution?
>Corporate donations would be banned in their entiretyHow are you going to stop one of major shareholders secretly donating a large sum of money to a mutual friend of the politician? For example lets say that you want to influence John Kerry so you give a bunch of money to one of his fellow "Skull and Crossbones" fraternity members? No words even have to be exchanged and all parties can maintain plausible deniability.
Often beucrats think they can wave their magic wand and legislate something away but it's not true. Look at drug prohibition.. getting high is human nature as is bribery and nepotism, and at the highest levels they have sophisticated networks to work around government, making regulations a contributor to inequality as it's harder for me and you to influence politics then. Not to mention the tech giants and social media.
Look at how beurectrats tried to outlaw "arrest record discrimation." You and i know it still happens and even if you "clear your record" the private agencies keep an archive of everything and it would be against freedom of speech to not let people look at it. No matter what employers are going to sketched out by any kind of legal record.. even if it's some bullshit statist law that got you in trouble in the first place.. and those statist laws are often set by socialists and they end up creating more prejudice for poor black people and in this way they are actually very fascistic.
