The current bag clips on top of the matching panniers by means of buckles. I like this system, it attaches fast, secure and is adjustable. The bag is not waterproof by any means because zipper and seams. Also, as expected from first looking at it, it's starting to fail due to tear out. I 2ould guess I've gotten 280 days of use out of it so far.
