Thought I had the fit on my road bike dialed in but its still a bit off. So back to measuring and tweaking.
The Brooks Pro I put on my touring bike is getting a bit stretchy already so I laced it. I tried using a leather punch to make the holes, but the leather on the pro is super thick, I ended up having to use a drill. After having broken several laces on Brooks saddles I started using kevlar work boot laces, super tough difficult to even cut through with scissors.. I reused a lace from a worn saddle, but I had a hell of a time getting it through the holes as I had previously trimmed the laces and they had frayed ends. Kevlar doesn't melt, so I couldn't use the lighter trick to get a firm end. I ended up using super glue on the ends of the laces.
