How is water resource planning going in you area?
Our two major cities both use treated surface water and sell to a few smaller suburbs. Most other suburbs use ground water. Their water usage is frequently 4x in the summer than what it is in the winter.
Predictably the water table is receding which is causing issues with local lakes drying up. Our regional government is encouraging suburbs to use surface water but the suburbs claim they are the experts in using wells and won't listen to our regional government. We are in a humid continental climate so we should really have no issues with a lack of water.
