>>962907I got these wrap-around prescription safety glasses a few years ago. With my -5 Rx the edges ended up pretty thick, and they wore out this winter, but would recommend for this sort of thing. They do a great job of blocking air (and flying debris) and have full peripheral vision! The new '3D' computer optimized lenses took quite a bit of getting used to; had headaches and balance issues for a day or two, but then my brain figured it out and everything was fine.
I've also used transitions poly-chromatic lenses and 'meh'. They are not polarized, do not work behind other windows (need UV light), and take a while to clear when you walk into a dark room. If you're getting special specs to do this particular job, just get good permanent tint.
