I see these boomers with those big things at campgrounds and they seem to go to beautiful places and then just stay inside all day, cook inside, eat inside, watch tv inside. I just don't understand it. Why not just setup a tarp instead, expand your living space outside. Setup a gas burner outside. Have a fire. Even if it's raining, it's still fun.
Because i'm used to camping with a setup on a bicycle, even the space and luxury afforded by a small car seems almost excessive to me. And i really love setting up big outdoor camps, and can do it with minimal gear.
The only appeal really is having your own toilet and shower, but that seems like more trouble than it's worth, and they're generally at places which have toilets and showers, or atleast a river to bathe in.
It seems exclusively good for people too old and invalid to handle outdoor living, in which case, I don't think they should even be driving long distances in a huge vehicle. Or for people with needy families. In which case it probably isn't fun anyway because they'd still rather be at home or in a hotel and fair enough if they're not into it.
