But yes if I wanted to ride faster I would have to do so on the roads with cars and I would need better brakes. I haven't been interested in riding like that around the city due to how traffic patterns, tunnels, and road hazards really limit the appeal of that for me.
If I wanted to get around that way I would look at something more absurd like a microcar. As those are roughly the same price as faster ebikes and even scooters.
