GM 4L60 tranny which is used in the chevy silverado 1500 and 2500 trucks, gmc sierra 1500, 2500, suburban and Tahoe SUVs, Camaros, Firebird Trans Am, Corvette, 2004 Pontiac GTO, all use the same transmission. And they're still produced. A refurbished one with warranty, goes for $1,600. A brand new one is $2000
