No. I broke a tooth on my vintage GT LTS and bought a replacement center third gear from eBay, not realizing it was wide/ narrow. Every other shift would be rough because if a narrow tooth hit a narrow chain gap it would fit so would ride until it popped into matching.

Also narrow/wide chain rings aren’t ramped, so shifting is even more fucked up. Luckily I only wasted like $5
