Get an appointment with an FAA medical examiner to see if you can even get a medical, if you want to fly for a living you're probably going to have to move a few times (commuting is gay, bases and relative seniority change all the time)
CURRENTLY you don't need a BS to get a job at a Legacy, however at some point in the next 5-7 years the music is going to stop so you should probably get one
Find a flight school in your area and get a discovery flight to see if you are even non-retarded enough to fly an airplane
Buy an online test prep software like Sporty's, King, or Rod Machado and do all the lessons, paying a CFI to give you ground lessons is retarded
Don't get a 141 Bachelors, it's the biggest crock of bullshit in the world and actually takes longer than just doing it yourself
>t. 141 gradPlaces like ATP and CAE that offer "zero to hero in nine months" are okay in the sense that you'll fly a lot, but they're also not very accommodating if you need additional lessons or you can't adapt to their pace, Mom & Pop Part 61 is the opposite: planes go down for maintenance or instructors are late from their second job at Burger King and you don't fly, but the pace is more manageable and costs about the same
There may also be something to be said about buying a C172/PA28 and doing PPL, IR, CPL, CFI, and CFII in one go, but you'd need to have the credit to buy it, as well as hangar, fuel, annual and 100 hour inspections, and find your own CFI
