>>1882196it's not weird a blowtorch is only really useful for highly specific applications like making creme brulee or doing drugs. even for wrenching on cars i'm not sure how often a blowtorch would come in handy. there's a risk of igniting oil/fuel vapors if you use excessive heat. elon musk marketed a big torch as a flame thrower, essentially a toy because most people don't have a proper use for it. i would rather own a heat gun than a blowtorch.
