This evening I went to check out how far some paving work on a highway on the other side of the city had progressed. The work is almost done but the shoulder of the road has ripples in it just deep enough to be annoying. So much shitty paving being done lately. Two new MUPs have ripples in them as well.
While out for a drive yesterday I saw that a popular cycling route had the shoulder chip sealed with coarse gravel. A few other roads got screwed up like that last year. The chip seal is so nasty you are actually better off riding on a nearby gravel road instead.
