This is a place where rent on an apartment in this area would be $3000/month. If the cageway was removed, that space could be used to build useful things like apartments and office buildings. The green part overgrowing it is now a park and fancy buildings.
Urban highways are the worst use of in-demand real estate possible and are an absolute BLIGHT that screws with pedestrian and local traffic and is an enormous barrier to peds and cyclists. It is time to REMOVE.
