Finally got to stripping down this old Skyway bike. Turns out once you get all the heavy 70s bullshit off (chrome steel fenders, rack, wheels, derailleurs, and cottered cranks, plus the bottle generator) the frame is a pretty reasonable weight.
Mocked it up with some drop bars. This is gonna get repainted, aluminum lugs polished, and built back up for my wife. Thinking wheel swap from those 650a's to aluminum 650b's, and put a square taper cartridge in the bb. From there in not sure if I want to use more vintage parts (have a very clean Eagle II rear derailleur I want to put on something), or use more modern bits. Won't get ridden hard either way, lol.
