Now I don't love old thatched roof buildings but I thought it clashed a lot.
I wouldn't want to disallow them, but strictly separate them from village to village, so that there's a place with the post modern Bauhaus garbage and another one that looks like time was standing still. Same should count for yachts, they are hideous around historic harbours and should not be allowed to anchor there unless they have classic lines.
That won't happen though because of money.
