I started flying when the “””pilot shortage””” was a very distant myth and absolutely no school was using it as a marketing tool. RJ pilots were making 25k a year. I didn’t care at all and just wanted to fly. This career only works if you have a passion for it and the new generation who drank the koolaid is in for a rude awakening when the economy takes another big shit and the youngins learn the definition of furlough & reverse flow programs.
