If it has the peculiar dropout with the bearings to increase comfy levels, be aware that it tends to crack if the rider doesn't service the bearings every so often. It can be repaired (Ticycles in Portland does a good job with ti repairs), but of course that's painful. Also, Serotta built some real weird bikes in the years preceding their collapse, due to dealers filling out the order form with wacky fits, poorly thought out paint schemes, and gunning hard for a luxury market that ultimately rejected them. Serotta is giving it another go now that he has rights to his own name back, but who knows who'll actually be producing the bikes.
