Forgot mention: Turning radius isn't really a problem, since you usually use infrastructure made for motorized traffic. You avoid most of the too narrow places with that.
The most amazing advantage of the Velayo is its size. It is so big and wide that motorists always accept you on the road. I never had anyone honking at me. I almost never had a car overtake me to closely. They usually completely switch to the opposite lane and leave me loads of space.
If you get stuck, the floor has two holes. You can push the Velomobile back with your feet. (common for many velomobiles).
