yeah, but $2T at least pays for basic projects. CAHSR is a good example. If all segments are funded, then as far as I'm concerned Biden has already done everything I could have ever wanted him to. It also pays for various freight projects such as:

>new freight bypass between Martinez and Sacramento (proposed)
>Dumbarton Bridge rebuild (almost shovel ready)
>rail-on-dock for all CA ports (proposed by the state ARB)
>Reno Amtrak service that doesn't suck ass (suggested in NV's state rail plan)
Admittedly, this is just a small sampling of Norcal area projects but you get my point. The larger transportation problem isn't an issue at all: either Republicans allow an increase in the gas tax consummate to the increased freeway usage since 1993 or Republicans allow freeway tolling. There's no other way at this point especially if EV adoption goes into the double-digits, causing gas tax revenues to fall.
