If you want to keep the cantis then you'll need a 'cantilever cable hanger'. Tektro, Dia Compe, Paul, Rene Herse, and others make them. It can be a frustratingly rare part. A crappy one can also significantly degrade preformance. If it flexes, it's crappy. You can often fish them out of parts bins but beware the diatech ones which are radiused inside. They'll work but it's not great.
You could also go to v-brakes. Personally I really like cantis. And I specifically really like that style of shimano canti you have. Suggest you get some new koolstop eagle pads for them.
