>>1171306Flip-flop hubs are 120mm wide and your road bike's rear fork spacing is 126 or 130mm, so you'd need to add spacers to the axle to make it work. If it's 126 mm and your frame is steel, you can also just bend the frame in a bit, but if it's an aluminum frame you can't do that.
You probably won't get a very good gear ratio or chainline with your current crankset, but no need to swap it out immediately, you can start with just taking the front shifter and the other chainring off.
Depending on how many gears your bike has at the moment, you might also need a new wider chain for single speed.
