>>1106677Well the only other way you're ever going to see a GG1 run again without that doesn't require replacing the transformers (that would probably cost more than just building a brand new locomotive) would be to hook it up to a giant car battery. Maybe order a custom battery built to power it, stick it in some old baggage car and permanently couple them together as a tender.
