Because that's my idea of proper touring, you can speed through the boring shite, always sleep under a roof when cold or wet although you can do what you fucking well like, it's just nice to have the option, and proper cooking facilities and the ability to take plenty of supplies and spares etc with you, plus it's much easier to pick up girls in a camper van than it is on a bike overloaded with stinking sweaty socks, plus you already have somewhere to bang them, in fact they'll view the whole sordid experience as a kind of unique and spontaneous life affirming adventure.
